Some children have just one kids night light in their room and that is all that they need. As long as they can still see the features of the room when they wake up at night so they know where they are, they are fine. However, some children have to have quite a few. A night light will actually make normal things look strange to them, which can makes the problem worse. These children benefit from having a few lights as well as a flashlight that they can turn on whenever they feel the need to investigate something. This often helps them feel a sense of power over their fears and helps them sleep better.
